My Lake Home B&B And Tree House
Wondering about the tree house?  It's pretty impressive...a dream for a long time actually.  Since we built the home I wanted a sauna and was talking about building one on sleds that we could pull onto the lake to take a dip afterwards.  When I really thought about the effort it would take to do that it didn't coincide with the sauna experience.  Then Tree house masters with Pete Nelson started showing up on my TV screen quite often and I couldn't stop dreaming about it.  I kept bringing it up to my hubby until he chimed in with the screen porch idea.  From there we began our plans, built it ourselves and it turned into our spa which doubles has a screen porch.  I used to do message therapy down by the lake in a screen tent, this was a much nicer idea.  It is available Monday thru Saturday from 10-5 for therapy for all our guests and neighbors by appointment. Included in a one hour massage is exclusive access to the tree house, healthy treats, sauna in a 2 hour time frame.  We close the curtains and allow guests to have it all to themselves clothed or not.  They love it!!!  See the tree house page for menu and rates.

We have specials all over but do people look for them or notice!? No not much which seems strange to me cause I always look for a better deal.  We have on line adds all over the internet and on our web site, facebook ect. Some of our adds are for lodging only with out the breakfast service or access to the great room. So look areound or call and ask if you can just lodge.  We aim to accommodate!

Lyle and Kathryn owned and operated a Minnesota Resort for 11 years prior to building this unique home.  Together they designed, built and created all the unique features in this exquisite round home built in 2007.  They added the tree house in the spring of 2015.
This area is important to them as Kathryn grew up in these woods and so did her father and grandfather.

Lyle owns a cabinet and construction Business.
Living in the Chippewa is a dream come true as both enjoy the lake and woods and all the activities they provide.  Both love to hunt & fish and take pride in the home and property.  Kathryn has a variety of gardens and really loves the out doors and tending to them.  Another passion is caring for and grooming the ski trails, it takes a lot of hard work but is well worth the time spent.  If the temperature is above 0 Kathryn can be found on her ski trails everyday in the winter. Caring for every aspect of the property is what drives her and puts her in her element.
