Secluded Cabin
Another lodging option we have is a secluded cabin that sits on 20 acres with over 1000 feet of lakeshore and has a whole bay on the lake to itself. Check out our secluded cabin and get your reservation in quick.  It's filling up fast.

Fishing on lake Winnie
Winter fishing on lake Winnie has been good this year, we have speared some over 10# northerns.  Some of our guests did some angling and did well with perch and sunnies.  To bad the guy that used to plow down there is not still doing that.  We know and have heard from many people how sad it is that the roads aren't being plowed out to the good perching spots by the resort. A lot less people fishing out there since we left!

Fishing
Our next fishing group are planning on fishing on Dixon.  We have been seeing some nice crappies out of Dixon.  Getting around on the lake is the hard part unless you have a snowmobile.

Ladies day On the Trails

Our Ladies event was a lot of fun, we had 15 gals and 9 skiers.  Most of the treasures hidden on the trails & in the yard were found by the treasure hunters.  I'm still finding a few everyday that were missed.  Good food, yummy specialty drinks and lots of laughs along with great weather and a nice bond fire made for a great day!

IN THE HOSPITALITY AND RESTAURANT BUSINESS FOR 40 YEARS. Lyle and Kathryn owned and operated a Minnesota Resort for 11 years prior to building the B&B.  Together they designed, built and created all the unique features in this exquisite round home built in 2007.  They added the tree house in the spring of 2015. This area is important to them as Kathryn grew up in these woods and so did her father and grandfather.
The B&B is Kathryn's baby and with her history in the restaurant and catering business she is a wiz in the kitchen.

Lyle owns a cabinet and construction Business.

Living in the Chippewa is a dream come true as both enjoy the lake and woods and all the activities they provide.  Both love to hunt & fish and take pride in the home and property.  Kathryn has expanded her gardens and really likes providing fresh organic vegetables and fruits to guests and family.  Another passion is caring for and grooming the ski trails, it takes a lot of hard work but is well worth the time spent.  If the temperature is above 0 Kathryn can be found on her ski trails everyday in the winter. Caring for every aspect of the B&B is what drives her and puts her in her element.
