2 # Crappies
Fishing was great this weekend and the lake was very quiet.  We limited out on some nice pike and walleye and also got monster crappies early on Sunday.   People just aren't into the summer mode yet I guess or is it the gas prices?

Memorila week end is here
Didn't think we would ever get to summer but I have to say the forecast looks good for the weekend, the fish are biting and I have rooms available.  Mention this blog and get an addition $10.00 off per night on all booking for  this week until May $30th. I will take another $10. off my hook me up special by mentioning this blog. WHAT A FANTASTIC DEAL!

Opening Fishing
Well a week off but still great fishing.  Yesterday my guests were here about an hour and through a line in off the dock and got a nice walleye and a northern in 20 minutes.  Seeing a few boats hanging in the same spots must be catching some?!

Ice Out
Well this was a very late and unusual ice out year.  Officially the ice was out on opening day in the north end of the lake but the south still has ice today (Monday)  We have had big ice chunks with lots of weeds attached blowing around all weekend.  What a mess in every ones beaches.  We only had a couple float in here but removed them pronto. The dock was put in this weekend and we had our 1st pontoon ride of the season.  It was a bit brisk even with a parka onSealed

Opening Fishing
We are watching the lake and making bets on when the ice will go out.  Today the ice is darker but there is really too much of it to think it will be out by Saturday.  Wind and rain could change that though.  10 days ago we were riding on the ice!

Lyle and Kathryn owned and operated a Minnesota Resort for 11 years prior to building this unique home.  Together they designed, built and created all the unique features in this exquisite round home built in 2007.  They added the tree house in the spring of 2015.
This area is important to them as Kathryn grew up in these woods and so did her father and grandfather.

Lyle owns a cabinet and construction Business.
Living in the Chippewa is a dream come true as both enjoy the lake and woods and all the activities they provide.  Both love to hunt & fish and take pride in the home and property.  Kathryn has a variety of gardens and really loves the out doors and tending to them.  Another passion is caring for and grooming the ski trails, it takes a lot of hard work but is well worth the time spent.  If the temperature is above 0 Kathryn can be found on her ski trails everyday in the winter. Caring for every aspect of the property is what drives her and puts her in her element.
