Our latest grouse hunters
Grouse hunting is a big deal up here and we get couples that come up for a quiet weekend, bring along their guns and walk
or ride the many trails in this area. The last few hunters did well and plan to come back again for a second weekend
as the saw a lot more birds than they got.
Yesterday was bread making day. With all my fresh garden grown veggies and the apples from the orchard I visited I made
11 loafs of bread. An all day project, with my kitchen looking like a tornado went thru it. I ended up with 2
loafs of apple, 2 loafs of peach, 2 loafs of pumkin and 5 loafs of zuccinni bread. After all the taste testing
I didn't need dinner.
Visiting an apple orchard with my grandson, niece and nephew they had a corn maze and animals so they enjoyed it.
The drive was gorgeous and I returned home with lots of apples for all my baked goods. Now I have to get busy!
I already gutted a couple of the pumkins I grew and the zuccinni, raspberries and blueberries are ready to go. There
is a winter storm warning coming for Thursday so the baking is put on hold so I can pack away all the outdoor furniture
before the snow comes.
