If your given Lemons make Lemonaide
Yesterday we woke to 5 inches of snow and it the snow kept coming through out the day.  My first thought when I saw it was UHGG!  Then I saw that the only ice left on our bay of Dixon lake is out in front of our place.  It's just torturing us, sitting there and now all full of snow to "boot"  A short time after breakfast I said what the heck and went out to retrieve my ski equipment which had been stored nietly away for the summer season in our shed.   So I strapped  my skis on and away I went, just a short sticky ski across the nieghbors and down a big hill was really nice, once I got out to the road the snow was a little to sticky so I turned back, but got a mile & 1/2 in none the less.

Watching the ice go out
Half of the north end of the lake is open now and I'll be watching closely all day to see the rest of the ice go out. Ahhh waht a great feeling, spring IS REALLY here.

The end of the ski season
This is always a sad time of year for me, the end of XC skiing.  The thing I really don't like is the wait to be able to bike or swim.  It will be about 2 months or more until the water warms enough to swim.  Biking is impossible during April & May cause the roads are pretty sloppy.  I like to be outside for my exercise and thats just not possible.  Yesterday I bought an Elliptical trainer to get me through the next 2 months.  Spring is torture for me, why can't we just go from winter to summer over night*~*

Lyle and Kathryn owned and operated a Minnesota Resort for 11 years prior to building this unique home.  Together they designed, built and created all the unique features in this exquisite round home built in 2007.  They added the tree house in the spring of 2015.
This area is important to them as Kathryn grew up in these woods and so did her father and grandfather.

Lyle owns a cabinet and construction Business.
Living in the Chippewa is a dream come true as both enjoy the lake and woods and all the activities they provide.  Both love to hunt & fish and take pride in the home and property.  Kathryn has a variety of gardens and really loves the out doors and tending to them.  Another passion is caring for and grooming the ski trails, it takes a lot of hard work but is well worth the time spent.  If the temperature is above 0 Kathryn can be found on her ski trails everyday in the winter. Caring for every aspect of the property is what drives her and puts her in her element.
