Winter Wonderland Again
The ski trails were awesome yesterday morning with a little glaze over them, skiers could really cruise.  By afternoon we were blanketed under another 4 inches of snow, so I'm working on getting the trails groomed and sounds like thats going to be a full time job for the next week.  Counting on all the nice nieghbors to help out with that.  Unfortunetely were a little shy in that department so I have my snow fun cut out for me.  Nothing I like better than being out alone in the woods skiing!Smile

Guests & snowmobiling
Our guests this weekend brought along their snowmobiles and we took them on a tour of the Farley area.  We went about 35 miles and never crossed hwy 46.  They were in love with the beauty of the Farley tower area and the hilly landscapes.  We cut behind lower pigeon Lk and crossed the lake, saying hello to dad on the way. ( my dads ashes were spread there ).  It was a wonderful day!

Women of the Woods Christmas Party

On Wed. 27 women gathered here at My lake Home Inn to celebrate the season.  The ladies were greeted with carolers at the end of the driveway. The group played a game which was a very funny story about the group that I presented as the ladies past prizes from right to left on command.  Lots of laughs, many prizes, for not crossing your legs, best dish, and much socializing.  Karissa our opera singer was accompanied by Sarah Carlson sang Christmas tunes and performed some opera.  All were mezmorized, including me & I've heard her sing a million times.  The food was delicious as usual accompanied by coffee, chai, tea, and sherbert punch.  It was a great event!kim.JPG

More snow*****
We have had several more inches of snow and are skiing in heaven!  At least thats what it feels like to me.  The trees are thick with heavy snow so have to do some ducking and a little snow down my neck but it felt sort of good.  Today I will bring my camera and capture some of the beauty and then I will share it with you.

IN THE HOSPITALITY AND RESTAURANT BUSINESS FOR 40 YEARS. Lyle and Kathryn owned and operated a Minnesota Resort for 11 years prior to building the B&B.  Together they designed, built and created all the unique features in this exquisite round home built in 2007.  They added the tree house in the spring of 2015. This area is important to them as Kathryn grew up in these woods and so did her father and grandfather.
The B&B is Kathryn's baby and with her history in the restaurant and catering business she is a wiz in the kitchen.

Lyle owns a cabinet and construction Business.

Living in the Chippewa is a dream come true as both enjoy the lake and woods and all the activities they provide.  Both love to hunt & fish and take pride in the home and property.  Kathryn has expanded her gardens and really likes providing fresh organic vegetables and fruits to guests and family.  Another passion is caring for and grooming the ski trails, it takes a lot of hard work but is well worth the time spent.  If the temperature is above 0 Kathryn can be found on her ski trails everyday in the winter. Caring for every aspect of the B&B is what drives her and puts her in her element.
